ESN Teams with e-EndUSA on VETS
GWAC Contract Vehicle
ARLINGTON, VA (March 27, 2008) – Engineering Services
Network Inc. (ESN), a trusted leader in engineering and technology
solutions, today announced that it has become a teaming partner
with e-EndUSA, an electronics recycling company, on the VETS
GWAC contract with the General Services Administration (GSA).
“ESN is pleased to partner with e-EndUSA to bring e-waste
and compliance solutions to our work with U.S. agencies in
relation to telecommunications and wireless devices,” said
Raymond F. Lopez Jr., president and CEO of ESN, a service-disabled,
veteran-owned company. “This partnership will deliver
environmental stewardship that’s in compliance with environmental
and privacy laws.”
The GSA contract was awarded under the Federal Supply Services,
Small Business GWAC Center, which was set-aside for service-disabled,
veteran-owned small businesses. ESN is a service-disabled,
veteran-owned company based in Arlington, VA.
ESN is an IT and business consulting company specializing
in military and government contracts. Its customers include
the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps,
Military Sealift Command, Department of Health and Human Services
and other federal agencies. Inc. magazine has named ESN one
of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country – and
among the top 100 fastest-growing defense contractors in the
U.S.
E-EndUSA specializes in sanitation and destruction of electronic
data and the reuse and recycling of end-of-life electronics.
Under the partnership, ESN will offer secure data sanitation
and destruction for all media containing electronic data – including
hard drives, magnetic tape and optical discs – to federal
agencies, plus electronics recycling.
Based in Frederick, MD, e-EndUSA is a woman-owned small business
that provides organizations with environmental compliance and
data destruction of obsolete electronic equipment by recycling
all materials in conformance with federal regulations. It recycles
all types of industrial and consumer electronic products.
Executive Order 13101, Greening the Government through Waste
Prevention, Recycling and Federal Acquisition, promotes green
practices and urges agency executives to make waste prevention
part of their daily operations. The e-EndUSA/ESN partnership
will help federal agencies comply with DOD, GSA, EPA and NIST
requirements. e-EndUSA also helps agencies participate in best
practices for The Federal Electronics Challenge. The Federal
Electronics Challenge (FEC) is a program that encourages federal
facilities and agencies to: purchase greener electronic products,
reduce impacts of electronic products during use, and manage
obsolete electronics in an environmentally safe way.
“
We are excited about our strategic partnership with ESN” said
Steve Chafitz, President and co-founder of eENDUSA. “Combing
our ability to deal with end-of-life electronics and ESN’s
expertise in IT services, we will help the EPA and GSA in delivering
environmentally sound solutions that ensure a “Green” certification
for federally compliant agencies. This will protect the environment
and stretch scare budget dollars,” added Chafitz.
