Engineering Services Network, Inc. (Corporate Press Release)

Contracts, Officials to Attend G4i Event May 13; ESN to Share Expertise in VETS GWAC, SeaPort-e

ARLINGTON, VA (May 12, 2008) – Engineering Services Network Inc. (ESN), a trusted leader in engineering and technology solutions, will be a key presenter May 13 at the G4i Channel Association’s Government Industry Day at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA.

Contractors and officials will meet in Washington, DC, to learn about the military buildup in Guam and network for business opportunities. The conference will include one-on-one meetings and various speakers and attendees – including retired military officers and federal officials – plus GSA, Navy, Air Force and Army. Del. Madeleine Z. Bordallo of Guam will be the keynote speaker.

Denny Groh, ESN’s vice president of federal outsourcing, and Ralph Dicicco, ESN’s chief technology officer and vice president of its Northeast Region, will make presentations on the VETS GWAC contract with the General Services Administration (GSA) and SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e), respectively.

“With these presentations, ESN’s goal is to share our knowledge and experience for others interested in securing federal contracts and understanding the processes,” said Raymond F. Lopez Jr., president and CEO of ESN, a service-disabled, veteran-owned company. “We’ve been there firsthand and can share our success stories in VETS GWAC and SeaPort-e.”

ESN provides comprehensive technical capabilities covering VETS GWAC’s two functional areas: systems operation and maintenance and information systems engineering.

“The G4i conference is a great opportunity for companies – from the largest defense and telecom contractors to small subcontractors – to learn from each other how to succeed and implement the latest technologies,” Groh said.

The ESN team of more than 10 strategic experts provides services in seven zones identified in the SeaPort-e contract, with depth of experience in command, control, communications, computers, intelligent and surveillance, reconnaissance (C4ISR); combat systems (CS); hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E); ordnance, mission; and force protection systems.

Groh has more than 35 years of experience in managing acquisition and IT resources in the public and private sectors, including posts at the Department of Treasury, Farmers Home Administration and U.S. Air Force Military Airlift Command. Groh was recognized by the GSA for his leadership after the Sept. 11 attacks in restoring telecommunications and reconnecting displaced federal employees from the World Trade Center so they could perform their mission-critical duties. He won the Department of Defense’s Gold Nugget Award, Meritorious Executive Award and Distinguished Civilian Service Award.

DiCicco, a U.S. Air Force veteran, has more than 26 years of experience in software engineering, management, consulting, technology evaluation and strategic planning. He served as program manager for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the Defense Logistics Agency’s Global Command and Control System (GCCS) and was logistics operations planner/information systems program manager on the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

ESN provides federal government information technology (IT) services and solutions, C41 SR engineering/execution, I/O engineering, independent verification and validation and information assurance support.

Hosted by the G4i Channel Association, the G4i conference will include companies from DC, Virginia, Maryland, Hawaii, California and the East Coast. The association offers technical programs and networking services to members.

Based in Arlington, VA, ESN has regional and field offices throughout the U.S. and worldwide. Founded in 1995, ESN has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification.
