Shares Touchdown Tips at DoD Hawaii Small Business Forum

ARLINGTON, VA (June 14, 2010) – ESN President and CEO
Raymond F. Lopez, Jr. will be a guest speaker at the 8th annual
Department of Defense Hawaii Small Business Forum on June 15
in Honolulu.
Lopez – who has grown Engineering Services Network Inc.
(ESN) from its first $25,000 task order to a trusted leader
in technology and engineering solutions – will speak
on the “FIRST and TEN: Are You Ready for the Game of
Business.” The event, sponsored by the DoD and the Minority
Business Enterprise Center, will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June
15, at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii, 2454 S. Beretania
St., Honolulu.
“Always follow your gut and know your customer base,” says
Lopez, who attributes his business acumen to his naval service,
which taught him the importance of striving for excellence,
staying motivated and maintaining credibility. “Don’t
be swayed by the quick and easy.”
ESN performs, IT, engineering and business consulting services
for the U.S. military, Veterans Affairs, and other federal
agencies.
The event offers contracting opportunities with the Air Force,
Army RCO, Army COE, FISC and NAVFAC Hawaii. Topics include
contracting opportunities through mentor/protégé and
joint venture partnerships, “SBA: Supporting Small Businesses
in Federal Contracting” and programs that assist small
businesses in federal contracting. Lopez will share “lessons
learned from a service-disabled veteran small
businessman.”

Business Specialist.”
