Awards ESN $2.9 Million Contract to Provide Technical Services
in Independent Verification & Validation
ARLINGTON, VA (November 13, 2008) – Engineering Services
Network Inc. (ESN) announced today that it has received a contract
award valued at $2.9 million from the Naval Undersea Warfare
Center (NUWC), a division of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA)
if options are exercised.
Under the contract, ESN will provide technical services and
conduct independent Verification & Validation (IV&V)
of Gold, Silver and PinPoint disk routines created by the Navy’s
Module Test and Repair (MTR) program.
ESN President and CEO Raymond F. Lopez Jr. said the contract
was awarded under the SeaPort-e contract vehicle and would
run five years if all option periods are exercised.

NUWC was officially established on Jan. 2, 1992, and is the

associated with undersea warfare.
Kurt Hampe, director of Virginia’s Tidewater operations
for ESN, said the Warfare Center seeks to provide its customers

in undersea warfare.
Hampe also said the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Detachment
Field Engineering Office Norfolk (NUWCDETFEONOR) is the In-Service
Engineering Agent (ISEA) for the Navy’s Module Test and
Repair (MTR) Program. The MTR program is responsible for general
and special purpose electronic test equipment used to run diagnostics
on circuit card assemblies (CCA) and electronic modules (EM).
The MTR program is chartered with broad-based responsibilities
to maintain testing capabilities and repair logistics type
support for all electronics equipments and systems throughout
the Department of Defense (DoD). NUWC DET FEO Norfolk is organized
as a flexible technical support facility providing service
wherever tasked. Hampe said ESN will provide engineering and
technical support for the NUWC DET FEO NORFOLK DOD Gold, Silver
and PinPoint Disk Verification Lab.
