Engineering Services Network CEO Lopez Will Address NAVSEA Hispanic Business Conference

ARLINGTON, VA (Jan. 26, 2009) – Raymond F. Lopez Jr., president and CEO of Engineering Services Network Inc. (ESN), a trusted leader in engineering and technology solutions, will be a key speaker at the inaugural Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Hispanic-Owned Small Business Conference Jan. 27-29.

The 2009 NAVSEA Hispanic-Owned Small Business Conference will be at the California State University, Los Angeles, campus Jan. 27-29. It will provide an unprecedented forum where Hispanic business owners can connect with senior Navy and industry leaders to learn, collaborate and explore ways in which they can offer their products and services in support of Navy programs.

Lopez will speak at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28 and share his story as a Navy veteran who became a successful small business owner. Lopez served his country for more than 29 years before retiring from the Navy and starting ESN, a service-disabled, veteran-owned company.

“We at ESN are honored to be of service to our men and women in the military,” Lopez said. “We are proud that our work benefits our nation and its war fighters. We never lose sight of that in everything we do.”

Founded in 1995, ESN is an engineering, IT and business consulting company based in Arlington, VA, that specializes in military and government contracts. Its customers include the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, Military Sealift Command, Department of Health and Human Services and other federal agencies.

The conference is co-sponsored by Team Submarine and Program Executive Office (PEO) Littoral and Mine Warfare (LMW). Team Submarine and Program Executive Office Littoral and Mine Warfare (PEO LMW) are part of NAVSEA, the largest of the U.S. Navy’s five systems commands, and is a Fortune 500-size government enterprise. Team Submarine's mission is to keep the U.S. Navy's submarine fleet the best in the world.

In addition to ESN, conference participants include General Dynamic Electric Boat, Northrop Grumman Newport News, Lockheed Martin and Boeing. ESN is part of a panel that includes Progeny, Epsilon and Digital Systems Resource.

Inc. magazine named ESN one of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. in 2008 and among the top 100 fastest growing defense contractors in the U.S. in 2007.

“As a businessman and a Navy veteran, I welcome the opportunity to share ideas and information that can help keep our nation strong and economically secure,” Lopez said. “This conference is a great opportunity to do that.”

Based in Arlington, VA, ESN has regional and field offices throughout the U.S. and worldwide. Founded in 1995, ESN has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification.
