ESN names Hackett as Employee of the Quarter

WOODBRIDGE, VA – Engineering Services Network, Inc. (ESN), a leading engineering and IT solutions company based in Woodbridge, VA, announced today that it has named Peter Hackett as Employee of the Quarter for the 3rd Quarter 2018.

Peter Hackett joined ESN in September 2017 as a Principal Analyst based in the Tidewater area. Peter works for Commander Naval Air Forces Atlantic (CNAL) N43 Maintenance and Material Department as the Inspection Certification, Assist Visit (ICAV) / Casualty Report (CASREP) Manager. He supports the department by providing daily status for Aircraft Carrier material readiness and by the ICAV status for the Atlantic Fleet Aircraft Carriers.

Peter enlisted in the Navy on 13 July 1983. He completed Aviation Boatswain's Mate Fuels school in Lakehurst New Jersey in November 1983 and reported to his first duty station at Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia. 

His follow on duty stations covering a 22 year Navy career were: USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67), 1986-1989; Enlisted Education Advancement Program as a full time student at Tidewater Community College which resulted in a Associates Degree in Business Administration, 1989-1991; USS America (CV-66), 1991-1995; Instructor Duty at Aviation Maintenance Training Detachment, 1995-1998; USS George Washington (CVN-73), 1998-2002; Commander Naval Surface Force/Afloat Training Group Aviation Readiness Team Member, 2002-2005. Retired as an Aviation Boatswain's Mate Fuels Chief (ABFC) in July 2005.

After his retirement he started working for CNAL in February 2006. The two contractor positions he has worked at prior to joining ESN were: Availability Work Package Data Manager working for the CNAL Maintenance Program Manager, 2006-2012; CNAL N43 Maintenance Coordinator for USS George H. W. Bush (CVN-77), 2013-2017.
