ESN to Assist Booz Allen Hamilton in Information Technology Enhancements for the Department of Veterans Affairs

ARLINGTON, VA – Engineering Services Network, Inc. (ESN), a leading engineering and IT solutions company, announced today that it will be a subcontractor on a project to enhance the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Office of Information & Technology Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record (VLER) Health Program.

ESN was selected for the work as a subcontractor to Booz Allen Hamilton, a leading provider of management consulting, technology, and engineering services based in McLean, Va.

As a subcontractor to Booz Allen Hamilton, ESN will be responsible for helping plan, design, test and implement components of the eHealth Exchange and Veterans Authorization Preferences (VAP) capability, which will be used to exchange veteran health records with federal and civilian partners. ESN also will analyze business and functional requirements and the integration of new components into the existing system and its impact.

As a subcontractor, ESN also will support the development of the following enhancements:

  • Social Security Administration (SSA) enhancements to enable the exchange of veteran records with SSA for the purpose of disability adjudication.
  • VAP enhancements to improve usability of the system.
  • eHealth Exchange enhancements to improve communication with Master Veteran Index (MVI).
  • VAP Reporting to create ad-hoc reporting for VAP.
